Our house filled up with drawings, paintings, and experiments a young artist was proud of. There was no simple place to share them with people who would actually look. A lot of families are in that same position. The work is already made. It just needs a public home. This gallery is that home. I’m Sofija. I started Young People’s Art so young artists would have a proper place to show what they make. Young People’s Art is a small online gallery for original work by young artists. Making art builds more than a portfolio. It builds attention, independence, and confidence. Learning to start a piece, stay with it, and finish it is part of a real education. Sharing that work teaches something else: that a young person’s voice can stand on its own. The gallery is open to artists who are just beginning and to those who already work with care and discipline. Artists 16 and older can post directly. For younger artists, a parent or guardian creates the account. Every submission is reviewed so the space stays safe, focused, and family-friendly. We are based in midtown Toronto and still early in this project. The aim is simple: give young people in this city and beyond a clear, respectful place to show what they make. If you have work ready to be seen, you are welcome here.
